Flight Instruction and Aircraft Rental Pricing

On this page, you will find information about flight instruction and aircraft rental pricing to give you the best estimation of how much it will cost you to learn how to fly.

You can pay ahead and create a credit on your account, or you can choose to pay as you go. We will create a pace that fits both your budget and the amount of hours you want to fly throughout the week. We want to make getting your pilot license as easy as possible.

Flight Instruction Pricing

This price is for any instruction done on the ground or while flying in the air. This is the baseline price for Robbins Flight Training. Sport, Private, Instrument, Commercial, CFI, CFII, and Flight Review Training can be purchased at this rate.

Aircraft Rental Information

Robbins Flight Training is partnered with Strategic Aircraft and Best Aviation to provide you with airplanes at an affordable price. If you have your own plane or have a rental company that you would like to fly with, we can provide flight instruction through that as well.

Here is a list of the rental prices for Strategic Aircraft and Best Aviation to help you get a feel of what the average hourly cost will be for instruction in an aircraft. These prices are Dry Rate, which means that you will need to pay for the cost of fuel at the end of each lesson.

The price of aircraft fuel can vary just like car fuel. However, the average pricing usually falls between $5-7 per gallon. Depending on the size of the aircraft, you can expect to burn around 4-10 gallons of fuel per hour.

Private Pilot

The Private Pilot License can be used as a hobby or focused into a career. You can use your Private Pilot License to get your Instrument Rating, Commercial, CFI, CFII, and TailWheel Endorsement. Robbins Flight Training offers training for all of these certificates and endorsements.

  • Minimum Flight Time Required: 40 Hours Flight Training

  • Can Fly Any Airplane Less Than 12,500 lb and 200 hp

  • Can Fly Above 10,000 ft

  • Can Fly With More Than 1 Passenger

  • Can Fly in Any Class Airspace (Must Have Instrument Rating to Fly in Class

  • Can Fly in IFR Conditions After Completing Instrument Rating

  • Can Fly Internationally

  • Can Fly With Retractable Gear After Completing Complex Endorsement

Commercial Pilot

The Commercial Pilot License can be used to fly for hire. This is the first step towards a Certified Flight Instructor License. Being a Commercial Pilot is a great way to build flight hours. Not only do you build your flight time, you get paid to do it.

  • Minimum Flight Time Required: 250 Hours Flight Time

  • Can Fly for Hire

  • You Must Have Your Private Pilot License to Earn Your Commercial Pilot Certificate, So You Will Have All the Capabilities Listed Under the Private Pilot Section As Well.
